  • Just some fall fun!

Erin and I made pumpkin spice cookies and pumpkin cream cheese spread for bagels.  They both were delicious!  So I thought I would share a picture of them  I also saw in Martha Stewarts magazine some really cute Halloween laterns.  I decided to make a couple and after doing so I want to make two more.  They are easy and fun to make.  I am going to get with Erin and Ashley tomorrow to make them.  I went to the doctor today.  Dr. Miner is my Endocrinologist.  I see him for my thyroid.  Well,  he said that my hdl and my ldl, were not looking that great.  He said I need to lose weight and get these at the levels they need to be at.  So he is putting me on a generic of Symbacort  to help the problem.  I hope it will and I am going to do my darndest to lose weight.  He said with the history of heart disease on my dad's family that I need to take care of myself and eat more healthily.  So I went back to weight watchers yesterday and it was good to go back.  I know that I can do this and need to do this.  I know I will feel better too!

I am working on a baby card this afternoon for a baby shower that I am unable to attend and so I will give the gift to Melody Olson on friday the day before the shower.  We are going to the temple and so I can give it to her then.  I bought diapers and wipes as the gift.  I figure they are always needed.  Then tonight I have weblos planning meeting at 5:30 p.m.   I plan to exercise tonight around 7:30 p.m.  I also exercised this morning for 30 minutes.  Extra exercise will help.  Well here are the pictures... .Happy day everyone!

I think both of these lanterns are so cute.  They are cuter in person and really cute with the candle in them. I tried to take a picture with the candle in it.  It isn't very good.

  • Frustration

I am frustrated because I want to change my web site and make it different and cute and I can't figure it out.  I guess I will have to wait for Erin to help me as usual because I am a techno-illiterate.

Yesterday Erin and I had fun making cookies together.  We have been wanting to try a couple of recipes and Monday was the day!  We made Pumpking Spice Cookies and they were delicious and we also made pumpkin cream cheese spread for bagels.  It was really good!  I had some on my bagel for breakfast this morning.  I love the fall and love to try new recipes.

We went to Steve and Karen Nelson's last night for dinner.  We had dinner with the missionaries too!  Elder Peebles is going home on friday and so the Nelson's wanted to do a goodbye dinner for him.  It was fun and the food was good.  It was a busy day, but so much fun!

  • Busy day...Friday!

I had a really busy day yesterday.  I got up, exercised and then showered and got ready to go to the Jordan River Temple.  I have some names that my sister-in -law, Janey Cook gave me and I needed to do the temple work for them.  I went and did 21 names for initiatory and it was wonderful to spend the morning in the temple.  Nice way to start the day.  Then I came home and found Lyndon and Don trying to get a new computer for Lyndon up and going.  I should have cleaned my house at this point, but wasn't in the mood.  I had some errands to run and so I did those for a couple of hours and then I came home and wanted to digital scrapbook.  It is fun to make these creations.  We had a stake presidency and High Council barbeque at the Higgs home at 6:00 p.m. and I was asked to bring four loaves of french bread.  It wasn't buttered or garliked.  We just sliced it and put butter on it.  The Higgs home is large and quite amazing!  They barbequed garlic chicken and served a delicious mango, blueberry, feta salad.  We also had watermelon and the bread I brought.  Sandy Higgs made the most delicious desserts.  She served chocolate mint brownies, carmel pecan brownies and lemon glazed cookies.  They were all to die for. She should do a food blog or be a caterer.  She is simply amazing!  She said she is thinking about doing a food blog.  We played some fun group games that Doug Burnett provided.  We had alot of fun!  So nice to get with all of these great people in our stake!  Then we came home and chatted with our darling Dallen and then headed to bed.  I layed in bed and watched a good movie.  It was called the "Ron Clarke Story"  It was about a teacher who taught in Harlem and how he loved his students and wanted them to succeed in life.  It was a great story.  Then out went the lights.  Lyndon fell asleep during the movie and was out like a light!

Well here are my newest digital pictures.  Enjoy!

  • Relaxing Sunday

Well it has been a very nice sunday!  The weather has been perfect this weekend and I have just loved the temperatures.  I have had a good week and have kept pretty busy.  I was called as a weblos den leader in our stake.  I went to my first den meeting with four other leaders and I really enjoyed it.  I think that I will really like this calling.  I just have to learn what I am doing and it will be great!  I can't believe that Spencer has been out 11 month already.  Amazing.  The time has sure gone by fast.  We had a neighborhood block party last night and it was fun to get with all the neighbors.  We have a great street and we all had fun visiting ect.  The food was good too!  This morning I was in the mood to do a few digital pictures it was fun.  I haven't done any in a while.  It has been a busy summer.    Well here are the pics I did this morning....
